SANDY PARK
for BERKELEY SCHOOL BOARD 2026
This November, I’m running for the Berkeley Unified School District Board of Directors. I am honored to be endorsed by the Berkeley Federation of Teachers (BFT).
I have 25+ years experience working as a public school educator, administrator, and consultant. My three children attend Berkeley public schools. And I am an active community organizer. This unique combination of perspectives means I understand the daily realities of our classrooms, the complexities of district-level policy, and the lived experiences of our BUSD families.
My priority is to demystify the School Board, building a culture of shared decision-making — where data is accessible, diverse voices are valued, and dissent is respected. By centering the real, daily needs of our students, families, and staff, we can collaboratively protect student-facing services while building a district accessible to all.
I need your support and there are several ways to help. Please consider:
…endorsing this campaign
…volunteering to help spread the word
…and/or making a monetary contribution
THANK YOU!
Note: Donations are capped at $60 and — with the submission of a match-funding receipt — the City will match Berkeley residents' contributions 6-to-1, meaning your $60 donation instantly becomes $420* to power our community efforts!
This campaign is powered entirely by individual donations through Berkeley’s public financing program, with zero corporate or organizational money and full transparency.
