STATEMENT

I am Sandy Park—a 25-year public education veteran, current BUSD parent of three, active community organizer, and first-generation daughter of immigrants.

Endorsed by the Berkeley Federation of Teachers, my career spans classroom teaching, athletic coaching, central administration, and strategic consulting with California school districts.

I am committed to equitable fiscal stewardship, protecting student-facing services, and supporting our educators and classified staff.

My platform centers on pro-active governance: establishing forward-thinking AI and technology policies that safeguard student privacy while embracing digital innovation, closing the opportunity gap, and fostering a culture of shared decision-making.

True equity requires targeted, structural investments so students furthest from baseline standards receive the resources needed to thrive — without taking away from any child.

By building trust and transparency with our community, the Board can focus on long-term collaborative solutions that move our district forward.
